N and his colleagues organised a trip to Ulu Kemensah (near Zoo Negara) on last Sunday, deep inside a malay kampung, on Sunday morning. The place was so remote, that we had thought we lost our way. But with the reassurance of a Malay pakcik, our car was the first to arrive. We had to parked at the road side, so the earlier you arrived, the better you are to get a nice parking spot.

First "family" outing to public park
Greetings...This is Kiko posting on mommy's blog again.
Daddy and mummy were eager to bring me to the park ever since they brought me home from the pets shop. After the first outing on the neighbourhood, daddy decided to bring us to this public park. This is my first "family" outing to a public park!.
I met another shih tzu dog named Momo there. She is a friendly dog, too friendly in fact. She walked up to me and started sniffing me up and down. I wasn't used to such "friendly gestures", and to daddy and mommy's much embarassment, I pee-ed on the spot. But daddy and mommy were so cool, they didn't reprimand me. Mommy was far-sighted to have brought some newspaper, so daddy used it to soak up my pee.
I love checking out the park. There were so many children and colourful objects. Some children were so attracted to me that they followed me. Some of them had the nerve of calling me "ee...kuching, kuching...". These kids don't know who they are calling a "cat". Me a cat?? Open your eyes big-big ok, I'm small but I'm mighty, and I'm definitely not a cat. I'm a chihuahua dog! I'll give you a piece of my mind if I'd longer legs to chase you kids.
I was so happy checking out the park, smelling the grass turfs and the tarmac paths. So much so I got distracted many times that daddy and mommy had to call me a few times to bring me back to track. I just love running alongside daddy & mommy.
Could we have another outing soon, please..? Oh, don't forget to check out some of our photos here.
Woof,
Kiko

Dancing bamboos, crazy shopping and a punctured tyre
After spending RM250 in that nursery, it was finally raining after a long stretch of dry humid days. It was pouring hard, and our tummy very growling loud. We head to Jusco for lunch and shopping. Shopped we did, membeli dan membelah our wallets. I got another two pair of shoes, when I just got the first 2 pairs last week! Gosh! But it was on sale, and I thought the shoes were lovely and so comfy!!

Angkor Wat, I'm coming!
Angkor Wat is on my mind. That will be one my next holiday destinations for this year.My fingers cramped from clicking on AirAsia’s website, searching for the lowest fares.
My eyes got blurry from scanning pages and pages of travel info about Cambodia.
My focus got diverted from work thinking about places I would visit in Cambodia.
So anyone interested to join me and N? I’ve set my eyes sometime for a 5d4N stay in September. I'll be covering two cities - Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.
Leave me a comment if you have links or info to help me in planning my travel. If you wish to join me too, ping me! :-)

Maldives Honeymoon trip - Day 3

Saw 3 sharks right in front of our bungalow. Took more sunrise photos at the beach.

Snorkeling around our water bungalow area. Called off joining the snorkeling trip organized by the resort & hung out at the balcony reading “The Gift” from Cecilia Ahern from the library. Short nap in the room.
Woke up for lunch, had Club Sandwich and Chocolate Milkshake at the Village. Very hot weather, walked around and played table tennis.
More reading in the room and afternoon nap.

Woke up for sunset cruise. We were served champagne on the boat. Took pictures of sunset.
Dinner at Thai Restaurant again. Disappointing ginger crab dish and lotus tea. Chilled out at the lounge again listening to a live band.

Maldives Honeymoon trip - Day 1

Trip to Cheung Chau (HK)
We started off with a traditional Dim Sum lunch at Lin Heung Lou Restaurant in SheungWan. If I remember correctly, you should get out from SheungWan MTR Exit to get to this place. After lunch, we walked to the Central Pier to board the ferry to CheungChau. The ferry service to CheungChau is at Pier 5.
The weather was extremely hot and humid on that sunny Saturday afternoon. It made us (well, at least myself) sweated like icecream in the oven. Nothing much for sightseeing on the island - fishing boats, chinese temple, beach, ancient drawings on rock. I thought Malaysian beaches are much more nicer :P
For me, the best part of the trip was the food! After the stroll at the beach, we tried out the local delicacies - big fishballs (zha yu dan), tau foo fa & red bean paste biscuit (hong dau peng). We also tried the "taro swirl", which were commonly sold on the island. That was as tasty as your best potato chips, and there were many varieties of flavouring to choose from.
We then strolled along the main road of the island (the road infront of the ferry pier), searching for a nice restaurant for dinner. We decide on New Baccarat Restaurant (since it was recommended in LonelyPlanet guide). This restaurant occupies the last two shops in the row of seafood restaurants (near the Pak Tai temple's end / walk towards the leftmost of the street after coming out fr the ferry pier).
The food was cheap, with lots of dishes to boast - prawns, crabs, lai niu ha, soup, vege, clams, fish, pork, squids. It costs us abt HKD540 for 8 persons (abt RM242). Too bad I didn't take a photo of the dinner dishes :P
On our return journey from HK island to TsimSaTsui, instead of taking MTR, we boarded the Star Ferry across the harbour to enjoy the night scene of HK. It was a first time experience for me - short & nice. So here are some photos to share...
